Battlefield Relics of the Eastern Front / Schlachtfeld Relikte der Ostfront

Between June 1941 and May 1945, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union engaged in a cataclysmic struggle on World War II’s Eastern Front. The resulting war was one of the largest and deadliest military duels in all of human history, and ultimately turned the tables on the Nazi conquest of Europe. It was also a conflict marked by strategic blunders, mass atrocities and human suffering on a previously unimaginable scale. Here are some pictures of leftover equipment from the battles on this front.

We do not support grave digging by amateur or unqualified sources. If we find that any of items have been dug from the ground in a non-respectful manner or from amateur sources then we will remove the photos. The preservation of historic items is of the utmost importance to us, but not at the expense of grave digging.
